FUCS Fundraising

FUCS has all sorts of fundraising activities designed to keep the choir in a position to be able to put on regular concerts.

Things you'll notice most often are sales of chocolates, drinks and FUCS merchandise like t-shirts (and whatever else we have available) in breaks at rehearsal.

Sometimes we hold car washes, busking competitions, movie nights etc. (anything we can think of really).

We've had a few succesful chocolate drives and raffles (one for a tub of chuppa chups which made us something like $150) also, which are always a good idea as long as you're very organised and keep a big list of anyone with chocolates/raffle tickets.

FUCS has a wide selection of orange and black t-shirts available for purchase. The prices vary from $15 to $25 depending on the quality, style of the shirt and availability.

We are selling songbooks again. Hassle your local committee member for a songbook today. :)
These sell for around $15 each depending on cost of printing.

Fundraising has come up with some fantastic ideas for new merchandise involving boxer shorts, socks, tea towels, stickers and most importantly dressing gowns and beanies.

Our most important fundraising is carol singing around christmas. We arrange gigs with the shopping centres and christmas fairs that we sing in. It's really important that we get as many people as we can to these gigs as we want them to hire us again the next year. We make every effort to hold these gigs when the maximum number of people are available to sing.

This online calendar for December will be updated every time I hear confirmation of both FUCS and AUCS carolling gigs.

The Flinders University Choral Society is available to perform at weddings, functions, Christmas carolling and other events.

Our standard fee is $200 per hour for as many hours as you like or $250 if you only hire us for an hour in total.

This means if you hire us for an hour a day for a week we will charge $200 per hour not $250. Sorry to impress this but people have been confused before.

Occasionally we will help out other clubs and charity groups for much less or free, but understandably we cannot do this too often as our members do not have unlimited time. The best way to get us to sing cheap is to offer us chocolate, drinks, meals and publicity.
